I was at the peer to peer leadership conference in Brunswick the other day. Had the worst head cold the whole day and caught myself floating in and out of reality while I was performing. Pretty weird. I felt like it wasn’t one of my better performances but the audience response contradicted my fears. An email is posted below. I’ll be in Jersey all this week and wednesday is now open if there are any schools out there that want to book the the show.

Mr Morello,
I was a member of the audience at the Peer Leadership outreach at the Hayatt regency on Thursday December 4, 2003.  When I saw your show “Dirt” it touched me.  It was wonderful and it got teens to wake up and realize things about drugs that they wouldn’t hear from other performances.  You showed what drugs can DO to a person not just what is in them.
The segment about the World War II veteran was touching and it brought me to tears.  The way you captured how that man was feeling was unbelieveable.
When my friends and I got back onto the bus after the day was over, we were all talking about how great your performance was and we immeadiately asked one of the teachers at our school if you could come and perform to the rest of the students that weren’t as privleged as us and who didn’t see you perform.  She was very happy that it touched us the way that it did .  When I got home that night and my parents asked me how my day was i said “it was great.  there was a really great performance by a man and it was named DIRT”
I just wanted to tell you to keep doing what you are doing becuase if at the rest of your shows you touched half of the students that it touched when you performed to me and my peers, then you would make a great difference.
thank you for being the performer that you are,
