“Try to bully or strong arm you with fear…It has the opposite effect”
Today was a great show at Madison, NJ.
I was impressed with so many kids and at the end we really connected. The principal and SAC were really cool and I was excited and honored they asked me to to share with their kids. I was a little disappointed with a few marine recruits in the audience that acted unbecoming of their honor. Obviously you misunderstood that the thing that was on a stage with a guy putting on costumes and speaking in different voices was what is commonly called a “play.” Like when you go to a movie and you see characters making statements you know that Bruce Willis is not REALLY the Die Hard guy. Or you know that Denzel Washington is not really a drug addict cop..he is making statements as a character. You know like…a “show”? All the other classmates understood it. I’m sorry you did not. Yelling out during a performance is never appropriate and not a very polite gentleman-like thing to do. Military men know better than that. But I forgot you havent even been to Basic yet so I’ll forgive you. You attempted to ruin the show for others…and you failed. Anyway, I salute that you are serving this country and as the son of a vet I am thankful for my freedom and aware of ALL its costs. I’m glad you finally listened to the WWII veteran character talk of his experiences and I’m glad we connected. Please be safe and courteous as you embark on a journey that will shape your life and please come home safe.
